Football’s law-making body is under pressure to step up protective measures against concussion, with new rules yet to be implemented after three years of trials.

The International Football Association Board (Ifab) holds its annual general meeting on the banks of Loch Lomond on Saturday, when topics such as the new sin-bin protocol and a blue card will be discussed. But player groups are lobbying for more focus and action on concussion, with progress in tackling the issue apparently stalled.
