Unhappy Benson and Zaroury likely to stay at Turf Moor

Burnley spent big in the summer, close to £100m on new signings, but the season has not gone to plan, entrenched in the relegation zone and staring at an immediate return to the Championship. Midfielder Manuel Benson was one of the star players in last season's title winning team but has barely had a look-in this year and was linked with a move to Southampton and Hull earlier this month. The Belgian will be frustrated at the lack of opportunities and was left out of the squad for Wednesday's defeat at Manchester City but BBC Sport understands Benson is likely to stay at Turf Moor beyond the end of the transfer window.
