'I tried to protect him' - Akanji on Khusanov's tricky start

Manchester City's Manuel Akanji says he "tried to protect" new signing Abdukodir Khusanov after his fellow defender endured a difficult start to his debut in Sunday's 3-1 win over Chelsea. Khusanov misjudged a header back to goalkeeper Ederson which allowed the Blues to open the scoring and was booked for a rash lunge on Cole Palmer within the first four minutes.
