George Russell won the Belgian Grand Prix, pulling off a surprise victory for Mercedes at Spa Francorchamps after a thrilling and impossibly tense battle with his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, who was second, completing a Mercedes one-two.
However after the race Russell’s car was inspected by the FIA, weighed and an hour and a half after the finish they announced it had been found to be under the weight limit. The matter has been passed to the stewards and Russell is likely to face disqualification.
