People urged to avoid location ‘for their own safety’ as officers search River Soar for missing two-year-old
Police searching for a two-year-old boy who fell into a river in Leicester have urged members of the public to avoid the “dangerous” water and not jeopardise the “very professional, very coordinated” search.
Specialist divers were continuing to search for the boy on Monday afternoon, 20 hours after he fell into the River Soar at Aylestone Meadows nature reserve, which had flooded during recent heavy rain.
