How Ibrox helped Sparta boss start out in management

Sparta Prague boss Brian Priske has told how a defeat at Ibrox was pivotal to him getting his chance to be a manager. The 46-year-old Dane was assistant at FC Midtjylland to Kenneth Andersen, who quit in the wake of a 3-1 loss in Glasgow in the 2019 Europa League qualifiers as Rangers progressed 7-3 on aggregate. Priske was chosen as Anderson's replacement and had a spell at Royal Antwerp before taking over at Sparta Prague in 2022.
